After seeing a post on Audiokarma.org forum, I have decided to upgrade my super basic DBT (dim bulb tester) to a fancier version. What’s a fancier version you may ask? Well, I added a nicer enclosure, on and off switch and couple of meters. Both voltage and current meters were purchased from AliExpress for very little money. I am not sure how accurate they are but the 110V in the wall outlet is shown pretty close to what it actually is. I have to say that I was surprised how big the meters are when I received them. This necessitated a pretty big enclosure but at least all the wiring is hidden inside. Not much else to say but that the DBT works fine. I already used it to test the new preamplifier I built.
